Welcome to The Wave Centre, Entertainment and Conference Centre situated in the lovely seaside town of Maryport, on Cumbria’s West Coast.
This is revolutionary £3.3million Entertainment Centre. The complex features a 234 seater theatre/cinema, (300 standing) with state of the art acoustics and lighting equipment. The theatre can be divided in two with soundproof partitions for a smaller more intimate venue. It’s a multi functional space that can be used for local shows, professional performances, concerts, award ceremonies, training events, conferences , weddings, parties etc and has a cinema screen, to show films and programmes.

Cave at The Wave
The fantastic new Cave at the Wave is the latest thrilling challenge at the Wave Centre Maryport. Our superb indoor caving system features over 75m of exploring, discovering, squeezing, clambering, climbing and crawling. You will discover tight squeezes, ball pools, passages, fossils, stalagmites and stalactites and much more along the way as you explore with the aid of just our instructors and your head torch! Suitable for ages four and upwards and for up to eight cavers at a time the only limit to our caving system is your bravery and physical size.
In addition to our fantastic caving system users can tackle to brand new challenges. The outer cave wall has four brand new Clip n Climb lateral climbs based on actual clip n climb walls but you have to climb across the wall not up and secondly as part of the overall caving experience we’ve installed a 6 metre high caving ladder for cavers to ascend and descend!

The Ultimate Conference Suite...
We have a state of the art theatre which can hold up to 234 delegate (theatre style) and is available for hire 7 days/nights per week, all year round. With cinema size screen and power point presentation facilities.
The theatre is ideal for large presentations, award ceremonies, team building, role play and AGM’s, as well as board room style meetings, exhibitions, product launches and conferences. The theatre can also be separated to offer a smaller venue for your needs.
We have easy vehicular access and plenty FREE parking, we can also offer a photocopying service.
